Preserving an Historic Housing Facility for Houston Seniors

A senior housing project in the Houston Heights recently completed a $12 million renovation. The history of Houston Heights Tower goes back to the mid-1970s, and it’s one of several housing facilities under the oversight of the Housing Corporation of Greater Houston.

We talk with the group’s president about the history of Houston Heights Tower, how it sparked renovation in the historic Houston neighborhood, and the challenges of preserving affordable housing as Houston continues to grow.
