Paula Poundstone: The Secret to Not Being a Crazy Cat Lady

paula poundstoneAsk fans of NPR’s Wait Wait…Don’t Tell Me, and they will tell you – while they may enjoy the program because of its weekly news quiz format, or host Peter Sagal’s wit, mostly, they love Paula — as in comedian Paula Poundstone, one of the rotating panelists on Wait, Wait.

Paula Poundstone is also celebrated for her stand-up, featuring matter-of-fact observations about everyday life, from raising kids to the insidious nature of Pop Tart packaging…as well as for her spontaneity on stage. She’ll improvise for long stretches, and engage her audience in a way many other comics won’t.

Paula performs at the Wortham Center tonight at 8 spoke with Houston Matters’ host Craig Cohen.
