On this edition of Houston Matters, we discuss the state of community papers in Houston with the publisher of five Houston community newspapers, the publisher of the Houston Sun, and a professor of communication at the University of Houston.

We’ll learn about some of the more popular camping destinations and related activities in and around Houston.

Plus: beauty and fashion in Houston. We meet the director of Houston’s Franklin Beauty School, and the director of Fashion Houston, which starts Tuesday night at the Wortham Center in downtown Houston.
